How to request bank statements through the client portal.

Automated bank statement requests

Double allows bookkeepers to create automated bank statement requests through the Client Portal.

To do this, create recurring non-transaction questions for each statement needed.

  • Creating a separate question for each statement ensures that any outstanding requests remain visible in the Client Portal until they’re completed.


Creating a recurring question

To add a recurring question,

  1. Go to the client's non-transaction questions

  2. At the top of the tab select "Recurring questions"

  3. Select "Add recurring question"

Notify client

There is an option to “Notify client" with each recurring question.

  • The client will receive an email notification at 8:00 AM EST on the scheduled day when the question is added to the Client Portal.

  • The email includes a link to the Client Portal and showcases all relevant open questions from that day.

  • Each question appears as a separate section in the email.

The client portal experience

Clients will see these requests in their client portal under the "Non-transaction questions" tab.
